what photography is to me

photography is many things, and a fantastic way to get a message or feeling across, or document an event or place. for me, I think a picture is only as good as the crazy way that picture ended up being taken. like hanging on the edge of a cliff or soaking your foot in an icy river, or sneaking onto government property in the middle of the night. All just to get that one shot that makes you feel something when you see it. that's what photography is to me.
